C. S. Lewis and the Problem of Pain

This final presentation on C. S. Lewis looks at his understanding of suffering, focussing on his "Problem of Pain" (1940) and "A Grief Observed" (1961). How does suffering fit into Lewis's idea of Christianity as a coherent big picture? We consider Lewis's idea of "chinks in the blackout", and the limits placed on our understanding in an often shadowy world.
