Don't Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream) - Tower of Power - Bass Cover

Hello 😊 Here’s my transcription of the Tower of Power song “Don't Change Horses (In the Middle of a Stream).” This song comes from their 1974 album Back to Oakland, and the bass player was Francis Rocco Prestia. You can find this on Muzento under the Advanced Songs category. I enjoyed working on this one this week. It got me thinking that there are a couple of other TOP songs I'd like to, or should, do. Off the top of my head, “Only So Much Oil in the Ground” and “Soul with a Capital ‘S’.” There are a lot of good ones. Any other suggestions? :) What can I say about Rocco that hasn't already been said? He was such a great groove player. I like thinking about how he developed his chops and endurance - through years of continuous gigging and rehearsing. It sounds like lots of work, but it's like they say, if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. :) This one is actually not too difficult. There are a couple of little spots and a couple of tasty lines he does, and I discovered quite a few little things I hadn't heard before. That's one of the great things about fine-tuning a song. You get to hear and work on all those little nuances and details that usually go unnoticed. I like discovering that. :) Read this one down and really watch your dynamics and articulation.
