Scrambling the Crestone Needle for Sunrise

On August 23rd, 2026 my good buddy Jasper and I set out for the standard route of the Crestone Needle in Colorado. The conglomerate rock proved to be exceptionally solid and juggy as we ascended early in the morning. We topped out in time to watch the sun come over the horizon.
