Welcome to Part 3 of the PVE Grower series.
In this tutorial, we finish exploring the Grower node in the Procedural Vegetation Editor (PVE) for Unreal Engine 5.8.
This time, we focus on Branching & Structure and look at how PVE can create more natural variation in procedural trees.
In this episode, you'll learn:
How Bifurcation creates forked and split branches.
How Cytokinin controls when and how often branches split.
How Directional settings add randomness and break up perfect growth patterns.
How Auxin controls Apical Dominance.
How Auxin Falloff and Apical Dominance work together.
How to create anything from a strong single-leader tree to a more bushy growth pattern.
This is the final part covering the Grower tabs. Across Parts 1, 2, and 3, we've gone from the basic structure of a plant to light, gravity, foliage, branching, hormones, and the systems that control how a procedural tree grows.
