On What’s Up this month, eight news stories emerged that underscore initiatives linking research, innovation, education, and policy across UM6P’s campuses and associated partners. First, the month commenced with eTrade.ma, a digital platform established under Morocco’s 2025–2027 Foreign Trade Programme, designed to assist approximately 1,000 exporters in accessing international markets and to facilitate an increase of MAD 15 billion in exports by 2028, in alignment with strategic targets. Second, UM6P celebrated the graduation of FGSES’s Class of 2026, including its inaugural PhD cohort, marking a significant milestone. Third, in Benguerir, the third Camp Morocco Green Hydrogen convened students, researchers, industry representatives, and partners for training sessions on renewable energy, green hydrogen, and Power-to-X technologies, incorporating lectures, workshops, research visits, and a hackathon geared towards addressing hydrogen-related challenges. Fourth, Executive Education STH graduated 261 participants from nine programs specializing in fields such as green hydrogen, cybersecurity, smart cities, logistics, and decarbonisation, hence contributing to advancing lifelong learning in emerging sectors.
Moreover, UM6P played a role as a facilitator of international collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue. It initiated Dialogues Morocco Creative in partnership with FICC, IFC, and UNESCO, emphasizing the cultural and creative industries in research, policy formulation, and economics, with particular focus on governance, investment, skills development, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. A new agreement between FRMSS and APEE was introduced to promote high-performance school sports through advances in education, sports science, and innovation. The period concluded with the Second Research MENA Conference, organized in collaboration with the IMF at UM6P’s Rabat campus, which concentrated on regional integration, industrial policy, labour markets, migration, artificial intelligence, and energy transition.
