On What’s Up this month, six news stories emerged. University Mohammed VI Polytechnic continued its UM6P Dynamic consultation, engaging about 900 people through 14 sessions and a digital platform to guide its 2040 strategy. In Rabat, FGSES joined the Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training (ADEPT), giving master’s students access to the MITx MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Policy Design, with Nobel laureate Esther Duflo participating. UM6P also signed an independent agreement with AXA Atlantic Africa on AI and data in insurance, focusing on risk management, pricing, and fraud detection, while promoting student learning. Additionally, 58 engineers graduated from EMINES, marking its tenth milestone. The remaining stories highlight people and communities. In Benguerir, the OCP Group, UM6P, and the Al Moutmir Initiative hosted “Where Women Lead, Food Systems Transform” (Sept 15-17), part of the UN-recognized International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026. The event focused on gender disparities in access to resources, finance, technology, knowledge, and markets, and connected women farmers, researchers, and institutions to foster inclusive, resilient food systems. Sports Integration Week 2026 brought together students from nine schools across various disciplines, aiming to help new students build social ties, explore campus activities, and raise a sense of community. #UM6P #TimesofUM6P #GatheringMindsShapingFutures Social links Follow us on LinkedIn:   / times-of-um6p   Follow us on Instagram:   / timesofum6p
