Today, we begin a new series titled, READY WHEN HE COMES focused on Matthew 25:1–5 and is one of Jesus’ parables. Let’s take Part 1: When Heaven Seems to Wait! Have you ever had to wait for something you really wanted? Not just wait five minutes or 10mins. I'm talking about the kind of waiting that makes you ask, “Lord, how long?” I’m talking about Waiting for an answer to prayer. Waiting for healing. Waiting for a breakthrough. Waiting for restoration. Waiting for a door to open. Waiting for your child to come back to God. Waiting for a relationship to be restored. I’m not talking about the short-period kind of waiting but the Waiting for God to do something you have been praying about for months or even years. Is somebody with me? parable in the context of His return. The Bridegroom is coming. Jesus is coming back and while you are waiting, don't despair. Don't neglect the preparation. Verse 5 says : “The bridegroom was a long time in coming.” But the truth remains that bridegroom was coming. And we need to learn to wait for the His coming.
