Rama, Sita and Lakshmana walk into the Dandaka forest, where the demons hunt the hermits. A giant snatches Sita, ten years go by, an old sage hands Rama the bow of Vishnu, and at Panchavati a demoness walks out of the trees and asks Rama to marry her. This is the Ramayana told as a shadow-puppet play, in the style of Andhra's Tholu Bommalata leather puppets: one storyteller, one lamp, and the oldest story of the subcontinent.
