CHENG DE STEEL MORNING

The start of the day shift at the Cheng De Steel Works. A bright, frosty day is ideal for watching the fleet of SY and JS 2-8-2's start the day in November 1998. These were the best maintained industrial locomotives that I saw anywhere in China. For comparison look at the beat up relic that Tangshan Loco Works, the home of the SY, used inside their plant.
