How Far Does My Dog Actually Run?

Ever wondered how much farther your dog actually runs when you take them trail running? I decided to find out. For this run, Brownie — my Hungarian Vizsla — wore his own GPS while we headed out together on the trails above the French Riviera. I tracked my distance, he tracked his, and there was only one rule: I wouldn't call him back or tell him where to run. Brownie was free to explore, run ahead, come back, stop and investigate whatever he wanted while I followed my normal route. So how much extra distance does an energetic Vizsla actually cover compared with his human? The difference was pretty interesting. 😅 Along the way, we get some beautiful views over Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and the Mediterranean — and, as usual, Brownie seems to have considerably more energy than I do.
