La Campanella – Franz Liszt (Grandes études de Paganini, S. 141 No. 3, 1851) "La Campanella" means "the little bell". Liszt based it on the finale of Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 2, turning the violinist's ringing bell theme into a piano showpiece. The right hand leaps across more than two octaves again and again to strike the same high note, like a bell ringing over and over.
