Today’s video is all about a unique and traditional jungle food from Jharkhand — Red Ants! 🐜🌿
Jharkhand is known for its rich forests and traditional foods, and red ants are one of the unique foods enjoyed in some local communities. We bought these red ants from our village market and brought them home to prepare a traditional vegetable.
In this video, I’m showing you the complete process — from the raw red ants, including small ants and eggs, to cleaning and preparing them, and finally cooking them into a delicious traditional dish.
Red ants are mostly found in the summer season, but we were also able to find them during this post-monsoon season. We usually enjoy this preparation with rice or chapati, and it has a very unique taste.
Come along with me as I show you this interesting traditional food from Jharkhand, how it is cleaned, how we prepare it, and how we cook it at home.
If you enjoy discovering traditional Indian foods, village life, tribal/Jharkhand culture, and unique local recipes, don’t forget to Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe to Land of Colors Life in India. ❤️
