With: Courtney LaBrie, Director of Sustainability, National Ski Areas Association; Raj Basi, VP, Sustainability, POWDR; Tom Bradley, VP of Sustainability, Boyne Resorts; Fritz Bratschie, Senior Director of Environmental and Social Responsibility, Vail Resorts; Mike Nathan, Senior Manager of Sustainability and Planning, Arapahoe Basin (Alterra Mountain Company)
The Mountain Collaborative for Climate Action grew out of the first MT2030 Summit in 2019, when Vail Resorts, Alterra, Boyne, and POWDR agreed competitors could work together on climate. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Fritz Bratschie covers the Electron project, an 80 megawatt Utah solar facility that matched Park City Mountain's 2025 electricity use. Tom Bradley describes Montana clean energy work led by Bozeman and Missoula and the spread of renewable diesel for groomers. Mike Nathan shares Summit County's Pay As You Throw and Strong Futures programs. Raj Basi covers a snowpack study at Snowbird and a Mount Bachelor project heating buildings with forest thinnings.
This is a main stage session from the Mountain Towns 2030 Climate Summit in Sun Valley, Idaho, October 13-14, 2026.
