We bought a Cheap boat… and somehow turned it into a MUCH bigger project! 😂💸 What started as an auction purchase has become our mission to build the ultimate dream fishing rig — built for adventure, built for memories and hopefully built to catch a few fish! 🎣 In Part 1, we bring the boat home, discover just how much work we're really in for, strip it down, remove the old motors, upgrade the trailer, sand and prep the boat and finally find the 2015 Yamaha 80hp motors we've been searching everywhere for! We called mechanics and boat dealerships from Melbourne all the way to Queensland before finally finding our motors through Marketplace. A trip to Sydney later and they were loaded up and heading home! 🚤 But there's one BIG problem… ⏰ We've got a deadline. We've entered a fishing comp at the end of September, and the boat and motors are now at the mechanic for the repower. Can we turn this old boat into our dream fishing rig and get her on the water in time?
