Builder Story | We Thought We Knew the Problem. We Were Wrong | Deepankar Rustagi & Dr. Seyi Ogebule

Every successful company has a polished origin story. This is the unedited version. In this candid builder story session from Inspire Africa Conference 2026, Deepankar Rustagi (Founder & CEO, Omni Retail) sits down with moderator Dr. Seyi Ogebule to share the raw truth behind building in Africa: the original idea, the moment customers delivered feedback nobody in the building wanted to hear, the exact cost in months and money to change direction, and what the company actually sells today. Strip away the retrospective polish, and you're left with a masterclass in how to recognize when your foundational problem is flawed, not just your solution.
