Hello my friend🌻 Today I'm sharing another slow living day in my vintage home, filled with simple things that I really enjoy. I started my day by changing the date on my little calendar to September 25th, and then I went outside to open the chicken coop and spend some time with my chickens. 🐔 A little while ago, we brought two chickens into our lives and bought them a little home in our garden. They have become new members of our family, and I have become so interested in this simple countryside lifestyle. Taking care of them, spending time in the garden and enjoying these little everyday moments has become something I really love. Then I went to my cottage to make myself a healthy and simple breakfast. I boiled some water for tea, mashed an avocado and mixed it with cream cheese. I made a simple avocado toast with butter and had it with my sweet tea. It was actually the first time I tried this kind of toast for breakfast, and it was so delicious and filling.🥑 After breakfast, I came back home and started preparing a little autumn pumpkin dessert. I cooked the pumpkin, blended it, mixed it with milk and cornstarch, and poured everything into my new pumpkin-shaped mold. I put it in the fridge and waited to see how it would turn out. While the dessert was getting ready, I decided it was time to bring autumn into my kitchen. I took down my spring and summer kitchen curtains and the little lampshade cover I had made before, measured and cut my new autumn fabric, and went to my bedroom to sew them. I added cotton ribbon to make them a little more special. Then I prepared our dinner. I had marinated half a chicken the night before with saffron , onion, lemon juice and salt. I prepared some potatoes and onions, put everything in the oven and also cooked some broccoli. While the chicken was cooking, I continued decorating my kitchen for autumn. I added my new autumn pictures, autumn plates and glasses, little pumpkins and all the warm orange decorations I had. I even changed the little paper details in the kitchen to make everything feel more autumnal.🍁🎃 Finally, dinner was ready. I made some rice, took the chicken out of the oven and brought my pumpkin dessert out of the fridge. When I removed it from the pumpkin-shaped mold, it turned out so cute and beautiful! At the end of the day, I went outside to bring my chickens back to their little home and spend some time with them. These are the simple things I enjoy in my everyday life — cooking, sewing, decorating my vintage home, taking care of my chickens and enjoying the little moments of a slow and peaceful life.
