Safe Abortion Law & Clinical Practice: From Legal Rights to Equitable Care

Safe abortion care requires more than legal permission—it requires an accessible, respectful, evidence-informed health system. This educational video synthesizes evidence on the relationship between abortion law, clinical practice, access to care, and health equity, drawing on both international perspectives and the Thai context. The discussion examines why legal reform alone does not automatically translate into safe and equitable access. Practical barriers may remain, including geographic inequalities, social stigma, provider attitudes, limited service availability, and differences in health-system capacity.
