Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a continuation of the tactical RPG game series where you play as Byleth, a mercenary-turned-teacher at Garreg Mach Monastery's Officers Academy at a critical moment in the history of Fódlan. The monastery is the seat of power of the Church of Seiros and home to the Garreg Mach Cathedral. After playing the Garreg Mach Cathedral theme straight through, this arrangement develops in a more fugue-like direction, taking inspiration from baroque choral music. The finale pulls from "Hope as a Melody," the song that plays in the Cathedral during the Choir Practice activity. This piece's lyrics were pulled and simplified from the "Book of Seiros, Pt. 1 The Revelation" and translated into Latin. The lyrics of the descant were added for this arrangement and represent Edelgard, a young woman railing against the powerful Church.
