Watch each scene in English first, then the same scene again in Korean. The Korean scenes show English subtitles underneath, so you can follow along and match the meaning. After every scene, a Word Time card teaches key Korean words — meaning, pronunciation and an example sentence. A fun way to practice Korean listening with a story — for kids and beginners. (about 12 min)
Little Red lives in a small village beyond a forest full of flowers, and she wears the red hood her grandma knitted for her every single day. On her way to bring cake and honey to her sick grandma, she meets a very polite wolf who bows and says, "Why not pick some pretty flowers?" One flower, two flowers… soon she has an armful, while the wolf races ahead on a shortcut. But Grandma spots his pointy ears outside the window — she rolls a trail of yarn in front of the door and hides in the wardrobe. The wolf puts on Grandma's nightgown, nightcap and glasses and jumps into bed. "What big ears you have!" "What big eyes!" "And your mouth?!" "All the better to gobble you…! Uh, I mean, to eat the cake with!" The wolf leaps — trips on the yarn — and rolls right out the door, where the woodcutter chases him away. Little Red cries at the empty bed… until Grandma walks in with the woodcutter! Grandma had slipped out the back door to get help, and Little Red had seen the tail all along — she kept asking questions on purpose. Then Grandma tells her the secret of the red hood: she knitted it stitch by stitch, even when she was sick and her hands were shaking. "From now on, I'll take care of you, Grandma."
