Flying a Stranger Home — A LifeLine Pilots Mission

Some flights are just flying. This one was different. As a volunteer pilot with LifeLine Pilots, I answered a call to fly a young patient named Aiden home from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN to Urbana-Champaign, IL — in time for school the next morning. In my Cessna Centurion 210, we flew FCM → RST → CMI and back home to Flying Cloud. This is what it means to be a pilot.
