Exmoor - Valley of rocks / North Devon - mini wild camping adventure #wildcamping #backpacking

Happy September, beautiful souls. This year has been a bit poor in terms of the number of adventures. In the last few months, I have been doing lots of painting, and due to the lack of outdoors and activities, I dropped in self-discipline. So I set myself a 4-week running challenge. After 11 days of running, my joints and bones were very achy, and I was craving some little adventure. To test the tent that was gifted to me by ‪@MancsOutdoors‬ , do some vlogs and just get out for a change. I had a very short window to do this, and the weather forecast was not ideal. The price of train tickets was putting me off and creating more excuses for why not to go. But I got an off-peak ticket at the cost of arriving late, had one promised sunny evening, and went anyway. Because I knew I would have more regrets if I didn't go. It was a bit of a weird adventure. I was not in the best mood to do what I had set out to do on this trip. Then I realised I had lost appreciation for small things and small trips. Despite hiking only half of the planned route, I'm glad I went and grateful for the beautiful sunset I shot for you. I picked the Valley of Rocks in North Devon, Exmoor National Park, for this adventure, as it is a very unique coastal rock formation from Ice Age times, full of fossils.
