Inside Vantara | Anant Ambani’s Dream to Rescue India’s Wildlife | ISH News

"CORRECTION: The voiceover mentions Vantara’s starting date as 26th January 2024. The correct date is 26th February 2024." What happens when injured, abused and endangered animals need a second chance? In Jamnagar, Gujarat, Vantara is working on wildlife rescue, treatment, rehabilitation and long-term animal care. Launched by Reliance Industries and Reliance Foundation in 2024, the project was conceptualised under the leadership of Anant Ambani. The centre has specialised facilities for elephants and other wildlife, including veterinary hospitals and advanced treatment facilities. Vantara says it now cares for more than 150,000 animals across 2,000-plus species. Vantara has also received international attention for its rescue and conservation work. But its scale has also led to questions from some conservationists about keeping large numbers of wild animals in one private facility. Here’s a look at Vantara, how it began, the animals it cares for, and the debate around its work. #Vantara #AnantAmbani #WildlifeRescue #AnimalRescue #WildlifeConservation #AnimalWelfare #Jamnagar #Gujarat #WildlifeRehabilitation #ElephantRescue #WildlifeHospital #IndianWildlife #IndiaSigningHands #ISH #ISHNews #ISL #IndianSignLanguage ISH News broadcasts the Daily News and Entertainment online in Deaf-friendly accessible formats which are in Indian Sign Language (ISL), visual images with titles, voice-over and closed-captions.
