In this first session of **Principles of Propulsion**, we introduce the fundamentals required for understanding and analyzing jet engines and propulsion systems. We begin with a general introduction to **propulsion systems and jet engines**, classifying jet engines into two major categories: **turbine-based and non-turbine-based propulsion systems**. We then review several fundamental concepts that will be used throughout the course, including the **speed of sound, stagnation conditions, enthalpy, entropy, and exergy**. Special attention is given to the *physical meaning* of these concepts and their importance in the analysis of thermodynamic processes and propulsion systems. The concept of *stagnation conditions* is also introduced, along with its relationship to fluid flow and energy conversion in propulsion systems. The session draws on introductory material from the course references, including **Hill & Peterson – Mechanics and Thermodynamics of Propulsion**, providing a foundation for the more detailed analysis of jet engines and propulsion systems in the upcoming lectures.‪@DrTogh‬ آدرس سایت و شبکه های اجتماعی: https://faculty.srbiau.ac.ir/r-aghaei/fa https://t.me/DrTogh https://www.instagram.com/dr.togh?utm...
