Possum on a Gumbush 🪕 | Charleston Red | Traditional Bluegrass

“Possum on a Gumbush” is a rowdy, old-fashioned bluegrass story about a Saturday-night possum hunt that doesn't go quite according to plan. The dogs have him treed. Mama's got the skillet ready. The fire's burning. Everybody thinks supper is as good as caught. The possum has other ideas. Featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and three-part harmony, “Possum on a Gumbush” is a playful throwback to the humorous storytelling tradition of classic bluegrass and old-time country music. 🎵 Possum on a Gumbush Performed by Charleston Red If you enjoy traditional bluegrass, Appalachian humor, story songs, and a good grinnin' possum, subscribe for more from Charleston Red. © cwgarten 2026 #CharlestonRed #PossumOnAGumbush #Bluegrass #TraditionalBluegrass #BluegrassMusic #OldTimeMusic #AppalachianMusic #CountryMusic #Banjo #Fiddle #StorySong
