In 2018, Nissan sold 1.56 million cars in China. Last year it sold around 653,000, almost 60% of it gone. Two straight years of losses have wiped out more than ¥1.2 trillion. Seven factories are closing, up to 20,000 jobs are being cut, the credit rating is junk, and Nissan is even selling its own headquarters.
