송소희님의 Not a Dream을 들으면서 마치 삶의 마지막에 가까워진 한 사람이 자신의 인생을 천천히 돌아보고 있는 듯한 느낌을 받았습니다. 그래서 그 사람의 시선으로 노래를 써보고 싶었어요. 잘했던 날도 있고 후회되는 날도 있고 많이 웃고 울었던 시간도 있었지만 그 모든 순간을 지나 여기까지 온 자신을 바라보며 참 오래도 걸어왔구나 참 열심히도 살았구나 아 참 잘 왔구나 하고 말할 수 있는 마음을 담았습니다. 마지막에는 거창한 작별보다 창가에 앉아 오늘의 바람을 느끼며 이제는 조금 마음을 놓아도 될 것 같은 한 사람의 평온한 모습을 그리고 싶었습니다. 🌿 While listening to Song Sohee's Not a Dream I felt as if I were watching someone near the end of a long life quietly looking back on everything they had lived through. That feeling made me want to write a song from that person's point of view. There were good days and days they regretted. There was laughter and there were tears. But after all those years they can finally look back at the road behind them and say You have come such a long way You really gave this life everything you had You made it here For the ending I imagined no dramatic farewell.
