Tarana- performed by Rohini Prabhath & Ashwin Prabhath- disciples of Smt Nirupama and Sri T. D. Rajendra One of the most charming aspects of the Kathak dance, Taranas are usually performed at the end of the repertoire. It is based on pure technique or the nritta aspect of the dance but has all its emphasis on the joy of dancing. This tarana is composed by Padmabhushan Kumudini Lakhia & Pt.Arjun Mishra. The dancers are supported by some of the most eminent musicians. Ustad Faiz Khan was on Vocals, Nirupama Rajendra on the Padanth, Praveen D Rao on the Tabla, Sruthi Kamath on the Sitar, Mahesh on the flute.
