The system is currently around 220 km southeast of Gopalpur and Puri, around 230 km from Kalingapatnam and 320 km from Visakhapatnam, moving at a speed of nearly 17 kmph over the past six hours. It is expected to move west-northwestwards and may cross the coast between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur between Tuesday night and the early hours of September 24. Under its influence, several parts of Odisha are likely to experience heavy rainfall, with South Odisha expected to receive intense rain on September 23 and 24. Wind speeds may gradually increase after landfall, reaching around 65 to 75 kmph.
