“Not Tonight, City...” – Rainy Night Noir Jazz by the Window for Late Night Relaxation

He's stood at this window more nights than he can count, watching the city for trouble. Tonight he's only watching the rain. Hat in his hand, a glass of whiskey on the sill, shoulders finally down. For once, the city will have to look after itself. Two hours of rainy-night 1940s noir jazz. You're always the one keeping watch. Tonight nobody needs you to. Whatever's out there in the dark can manage on its own until morning. Muted trumpet, tenor sax and a late-night piano trio, slow, dark and warm, recorded like an old session in a small, smoky club. For winding down after a long day, reading, quiet thinking, or just watching the rain come down over the city. What are you saying “not tonight” to? Say it here and close the curtain on it. 🌧️ This is Ruby's Jazz Club.
