Funeral Waltz | Dark Gothic Waltz Music

There was no coffin. Yet everyone had come dressed for a funeral. At midnight, a silent procession entered an old manor and disappeared behind its doors. Inside, candles illuminated a ballroom filled with masked guests dressed entirely in black. At the center of the room stood one woman in white. Then the waltz began. No one spoke. No one removed their mask. And with every turn across the floor, another guest disappeared. The flowers withered. The mirrors darkened. The candles burned lower. Only near the end of the final dance did the woman understand why every stranger in the ballroom had come to mourn. The funeral was hers. This dark gothic waltz journey follows the black procession, the candlelit ballroom, the disappearing guests and the final realization waiting at the end of the dance. Viola da gamba, baroque cello, harpsichord, violin, lute, bassoon, bass clarinet, English horn, harp and restrained piano create an intimate vintage chamber sound filled with aristocratic grief, ancient elegance and gothic melancholy.
