28th June Evening Service Speaker Rev Noel Darragh What does grace actually mean? Noel Darragh opens Matthew 6 and the Lord's Prayer to ask a question every Christian should be able to answer simply: if a non-churchgoer asked you to define grace, what would you say? Moving through several of Jesus' parables — the workers in the vineyard, the prodigal son, the great feast, and the thief on the cross — Noel unpacks four truths about grace: it has nothing to do with fairness, nothing to do with what we deserve, nothing to do with privilege, and nothing to do with what we've done or can do for the Lord. The message closes with a vital balance: grace is never a license to keep on sinning, and yet it's also not something we earn moment by moment. Noel challenges us to stand in grace by faith, to be channels of that grace to others, and asks a searching question from the Lord's Prayer — can we block the flow of God's grace into our own lives by refusing to forgive? A rich, practical look at the heart of the gospel. 0:00 Lead In 00:21 Reading 01:40 Teaching Time 02:23 What is Grace 04:15 Matt 20:14-15 11:34 Grace has nothing to do with what we deserve 17:40 Grace has nothing to do with Privilege 22:53 Grace has nothing to do with what we have done 25:15 How should we respond to this amazing Grace 35:35 Marker 9 35:35 Can we Block the flow of God's Grace 38:56 Closing Prayer
