I Believe - A series on The Apostles' Creed - Episode 12 - The forgiveness of sins.

Every one of us has a record we’d love to erase - words we wish we’d never spoken; choices we regret; people we’ve hurt; sins we’ve committed. We can hide that record from others; we can excuse it; we can spend a lifetime trying to make up for it - but we can’t erase it. The good news of the bible is that there is someone who can. Jesus Christ took the punishment our sins deserve when He died on the cross, so that everyone who trusts in Him can be completely forgiven. Not partially forgiven. Not forgiveness on probation. Not forgiveness until the next failure. But full, free, and forever forgiveness. In the face of all our guilt and failure, the Apostles’ Creed boldly declares: “I believe in the forgiveness of sins.” This Sunday we explored the wonderful truth of God’s forgiveness—what it is, how it’s possible, and how it can be yours through Jesus Christ.
