2025 MCW Community Engagement Spotlight featuring Patricia Wilson

The August session of the Community Engagement Spotlight Series highlighted Patricia Wilson, a proud Community Health Worker. As the Program Coordinator of the ACTion Movement Initiatives Project for Milwaukee County Organizations Promoting Prevention (MCOPP), Patricia has dedicated her life to improving the health of individuals, families, and their communities. The Action Movement Initiatives Project is funded by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) focused on improving community connectedness and community clinical linkages as a means for increasing community connections to resources. Using a restorative justice model, MCOPP and the community come to the table as true partners and active listeners to learn about the assets of the community and to discover, develop, and implement solutions to eradicate health disparities and promote greater social connections within neighborhoods and throughout Milwaukee.
