Judges: Piping - Sean Sommers Piping - John Cairns Drumming - David McAdam Ensemble - Ryan Murray This year marks the 80th anniversary of the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band of San Diego. The band was founded in 1946 by John Rosenberger. The Camerons have competed at Highland Games in the Western U.S. regularly since 1952. They have also competed in other parts of the country as well as the World Championships in Scotland. The Camerons are the only pipe band today of the original bands that formed the Pacific Coast Pipe Band Association which is now the WUSPBA. In addition to competitions, the Camerons participate in many local events in the San Diego area. The band offers free instruction to anyone interested in learning the pipes or drums. The band wears the Ancient Cameron of Erracht tartan.
