Steam Locomotive 3265 - Steam to the Surf Tour to Wollongong, 11th March 2024

The 2024 NSW Steam Season officially kicked off on the weekend of 9th/10th March 2024, with Transport Heritage NSW operating their Steam to the Surf Tour from Central to Wollongong, featuring Steam Locomotive 3265, being assisted by Diesel Locomotive 4916. This tour was originally planned with 3801, but it's currently under maintenance. We saw the tour on the Sunday morning, arriving into Sutherland Station to pick up passengers. Not too long after the tour left, we saw a Pacific National Freight Train passing through, featuring three 82 Class and one 81 Class. We ventured back out to Sutherland in the afternoon to see 3265 once again, on route back to Central Station.
