An old crocodile is waiting in the last pool. Only one of them owns the water. This wildlife documentary follows one long dry season on a river in southern Africa. Nkwe is a seven-year-old male leopard. On land he is almost perfect: silent, patient and quick. But the rain has stopped, the river is now a line of small pools, and the biggest pool belongs to a very old Nile crocodile. Every few days, Nkwe must walk down to that water. Before the rain comes back, he loses a kill to hyenas, climbs away from three lions, fights a rock python and is caught in the jaws of the crocodile. Then he does something leopards do only rarely. He goes back to the pool to hunt.
