In the Shinjuku Station West Exit area, the path continues through the redevelopment site and past the ""Eye of Shinjuku"" monument, moving to the south side via underground malls such as Keio Mall. From Shinjuku Southern Terrace and the Suica Penguin Park, the Docomo Tower is visible. The route then leads to Yoyogi Station, passing next to Takashimaya Times Square. From Yoyogi Station, the walk enters the vast forest of Meiji Jingu via the North Approach. The man-made forest, created in the Taisho era, shows deep greenery in the rain. On this day, the Harajuku Omotesando Genki Matsuri Super Yosakoi was held, with parts of the grounds serving as bases for dancers. The route proceeds past the 12-meter-tall wooden Grand Torii and the rows of donated sake barrels, passing the Meiji Jingu Museum toward the crowded Harajuku Entrance. Heading from Harajuku Station to Yoyogi Park, the area is lively with festival performances and a food festival. After seeing the street dancing on the NHK-mae Street, the route descends Koen-dori Street into the heart of Shibuya. Passing through Spain-zaka and Center-gai, where the wet pavement reflects the city lights, the walk reaches the iconic Scramble Crossing.
