WILDFIRE SMOKE! Railfanning the CPKC Mactier Sub in Alliston, ON (07/15/2026)

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another video. In this Video, we're back on the Mactier and back in Alliston, ON. Though this time the air quality isn’t the best, as unfortunately, the month of July had some pretty bad wildfires in northern Ontario. The smoke spread far South And East in the US and Canada, and it was really bad. Some days it looked like a nuclear explosion happened lol. This was the first day that the smoke reached the Toronto area, and the sky had a yellow-orange hue to it, which can be somewhat visible in this video. The phone automatically lowered the colour to a low white balance to make the colour look more “normal”. It was definitely interesting to film trains in this type of weather. The Mactier Sub was not as busy we still saw a decent amount of action.
