Michael, the Guardian Warrior — Episode 2 | The Three Archangels

His name is a battle cry: "Who is like God?" Episode 2 of The Three Archangels stands with Michael, the Guardian Warrior, slowly, for those who have never been taught his story. We meet him in the book of Daniel, one of the chief princes who comes to help God's messenger, and the great prince who has charge of God's people at the end of the story. We hear his one sentence in the letter of Jude, where even face to face with the devil he says only, "The Lord rebuke you." And we stand in the war of Revelation 12, told as Scripture tells it, simply. We visit two of his houses in one beat, the cave of Gargano and Mont Saint-Michel, and we tell the history of his famous prayer honestly: the Prayer to Saint Michael that Pope Leo XIII composed in 1886 is fact; the beloved story of his vision is tradition, and we name it as tradition. The angels never handed people goods; they handed them words, courage, and knowledge of the road. Michael's gift is courage. Ahead in this series: 1. Gabriel, the Messenger 2.
