Give God the Thoughts You Keep Going Over, He Cares for You | Morning Prayer for Peace of Mind

#MorningPrayer #Guidedprayer #PrayerForPeaceOfMind A morning prayer for peace of mind and a prayer for overthinking, for the thoughts you keep going over, asking God to take every care and give you a clear head and a quiet heart for today. What would you do with your mind if you did not have to keep watch over everything? Most of us know the rehearsed conversation, the reply drafted three times, the decision weighed until it has worn smooth. This prayer goes to scripture for what God does with a busy mind: a well known verse that turns out to put the clear head after the letting go, a psalm about thinking that turned into feet, a singer who only understood once he went to be with God, and a man who tried to count God's thoughts toward him and woke up still with Him. SCRIPTURES IN THIS PRAYER 1 Peter 5:7, and the opening words of 5:8 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." "Be sober, be vigilant" Psalm 119:59, 60 "I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments." Genesis 19:16 "And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city." Psalm 73:16, 17 "When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end." Psalm 139:17, 18 "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee." Genesis 26:12 (in the prayer) "Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him." Romans 15:13 (the blessing) "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (public domain). 00:00 Opening 00:50 1 Peter 5:7 03:06 Psalm 119:59, 60 05:30 Psalm 73:16, 17 07:12 Psalm 139:17, 18 09:05 The Prayer 14:53 Praying Over the Day 16:56 Breathing 17:43 Selah and Blessing TODAY'S FIVE WORDS My cares are on Him. And if there is something on your mind you would like prayed over, tell us in as few words as you like and we will pray it with you. If someone you love lies awake with their thoughts, you might pass this on to them, gently. As you scroll past other people's words, would you hand their worry to God for them too? And if a quiet start like this would help you most days, you would be warmly welcomed as a subscriber. #PrayerForOverthinking #PrayerForAnxiety #PrayerForPeace #ChristianPrayer #PeacefulPrayer #SelahDailyPrayer
