A morning deliverance prayer for anyone who keeps going back to the same old habit, asking God to break the snare, show the way out, and turn us toward Him again. What if God is not tired of you bringing it back to Him? Most of us have one thing we keep returning to. A temper that goes at the same moment, the phone at midnight, an old comfort that costs more than it gives. We want to be free of it and we still go back, sometimes on the same day. This prayer goes to scripture for what God actually does about that: a psalm where the snare is broken and the bird simply gets out, a promise that the way out arrives with the temptation itself, a play on words in Jeremiah where God calls His turning children to turn toward Him, grace sent as a teacher to an island everybody had written off, and a prophet whose own name asks who is a God like ours. SCRIPTURES IN THIS PRAYER Psalm 124:7, 8 "Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth." 1 Corinthians 10:13 "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." Jeremiah 3:22 "Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God." Titus 2:11, 12 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world." Micah 7:18, 19 "Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." Ephesians 3:20 (in the prayer) "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us." Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (public domain). 00:00 Opening 00:54 Psalm 124:7, 8 03:42 1 Corinthians 10:13 05:27 Jeremiah 3:22 07:22 Titus 2:11, 12 08:36 Micah 7:18, 19 10:29 The Prayer 16:29 Praying Over the Day 18:57 Breathing 19:22 Selah and Blessing TODAY'S FOUR WORDS The snare is broken. If you are walking out of something today, it would mean a lot to read those four words from you in the comments. And if something needs praying about, a single word will do; we do not need the story to pray. If somebody you love keeps finding their way back to the same hard place, you could send this to them, just so they know nobody has given up on them. When you read the words other people have left, would you stop and ask God to show them their way out too? And if you would like to keep us company most mornings, subscribing will bring you back here. #MorningPrayer #Guidedprayer #DeliverancePrayer #PrayerForFreedom #FreedomInChrist #PrayerForTemptation #PowerfulPrayer #ChristianPrayer #SelahDailyPrayer
