The sixth song in the Deus Ex Machina collection. This one is not Doom per se but something I wanted to make to show a cosmic voyage so I started with the 1st generation Pink Floyd and worked my way out. Lyrics: I remember the weight of the rain And the warmth of a fading sun The sound of the oceans breathing When the world and I were one I remember the shape of the mountains The rivers that carried the sky And the silence between the seasons When I never wondered why Now the shores are falling behind me And the stars have begun to unfold Every distance becomes a question Every answer, a world untold I have carried the dreams of the living Through the darkness beyond the blue And the farther I drift from the morning The more I become something new Oh, carry me beyond the measure Beyond the turning of the years Where the light of a thousand heavens Falls like rain upon the spheres I am more than the world that made me Yet its memory remains in me Like a candle beneath the ocean Like a song beneath the sea There are no roads among the heavens No familiar names for the night Only distances without endings And the ancient rivers of light I have learned the language of silence Where a million suns are born And the darkness is not an ending Nor the absence of the dawn Once I counted time in seasons Once I measured life in days Now the centuries pass like shadows Through the ever-widening haze And the things I thought eternal Were but moments passing through Yet the smallest light I carried Still illuminates the new Oh, carry me beyond the measure Past the boundaries of the known Where the stars are neither strangers Nor the darkness mine alone I am more than the world that made me But its memory shall remain In the silence between the galaxies In the sunlight and the rain I remember the weight of the rain Though no rain shall touch me here I remember the warmth of the morning Though the morning has disappeared
