Wanting More

“Wanting More” is an original rap/hip-hop song written by Jerry Hewitt Jr. about something I think a lot of us struggle with—always feeling like we need more. More success. More possessions. A better life. A better version of ourselves. Everywhere we look, we’re shown standards of perfection that most people could never reach. We’re constantly told what we need, what success should look like, and sometimes even made to feel like struggling means we’re somehow worth less. But wanting more from your life isn’t the problem. I want more too. I want my work to be heard. I want to experience more of life, see new places, and build a better future doing something I love. The difference is learning that where you are today doesn’t determine what you’re worth. “I don’t need perfection, just a better fucking day.” You can chase your dreams without chasing perfection. You can want more without believing you are less. That’s what “Wanting More” is about.
