Mark 4:39 "He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm." The night came down across the water The wind began to scream The waves were breaking over us Like nothing I'd ever seen I looked around at frightened faces And wondered where You'd gone Then I saw You sleeping there Like You knew we'd make it home “Teacher, don't You care we're dying?” That's what fear made us say We thought the storm had taken over We thought we'd lose our way You stood up in the middle Of the darkness and the rain You spoke into the raging sea And everything obeyed And when the water turned to silence We were more afraid than before Because we finally saw the One Who stood there in the storm I don't know what tomorrow holds I don't know how this story goes But through the wind and through the waves Jesus, You're still here with me If the storm won't disappear I know I'm not alone in here I may not know what happens next But I know who's in the boat Then Jairus heard the words He never wanted to hear “Your daughter's gone, don't trouble Him There's nothing left to fear” But Jesus said, “Don't be afraid Only believe in Me” And what looked like the final word Wasn't the end of the story Because death could not command You And the grave could not hold You down The One who walked into the darkness Walked out alive somehow I don't know what tomorrow holds I don't know how this story goes But through the wind and through the waves Jesus, You're still here with me If the storm won't disappear I know I'm not alone in here I may not know what happens next But I know who's in the boat In the garden You were sorrowful You knew what lay ahead You prayed, “Father, if You will Take this cup from Me instead” But then You said, “Not what I want But let Your will be done” You walked straight into the darkness And You rose with victory won So when I don't understand When I can't see through the night I don't need to know the ending To know You're still the light I don't know what tomorrow holds I don't know how this story goes But through the wind and through the waves Jesus, You're still here with me If the storm won't disappear I know I'm not alone in here I may not know what happens next But I know who's in the boat I don't know what tomorrow holds But I know who holds me close Through every storm, through every fear Jesus, You are with me here I may not know what happens next...
