30 Promises of God for When You Need Them Most | With Scripture

There is a difference between a wish and a promise. A wish is something you hope will happen. A promise is something somebody has committed themselves to — and its weight depends entirely on the character of the one who gave it. We make promises carefully, because we know how often we have broken them. God does not have that problem. In this video we walk through 30 promises of God, one by one, with the verse in front of us — not opinions about God, not what people say he is like, but his own stated word. And notice where these promises were first spoken. Not in comfortable rooms. To a nation trapped between an army and a sea. To a prophet in a cave who wanted to die. To a man in prison. To someone sitting in the ruins of his own city, writing that mercy is new every morning. God does not hand out promises as decoration for an easy life. He gives them as something to stand on when the ground has gone. Including: I will never leave you · My grace is sufficient · Rest for the weary · All things work together for good · Peace that passes understanding · He supplies every need · He hears you · Strength for those who wait · Near the brokenhearted · Forgiveness every time you come · No condemnation · Nothing can separate you from his love · He goes before you · He directs your path · Wisdom if you ask · He will fight for you · A way out of temptation · He finishes what he starts · Cast your cares on him · He restores the lost years · New mercies every morning · With you through the water and the fire · Ask and it shall be given · Every tear wiped away · No one can take you out of his hand · A place prepared for you · His word will not return empty · A refuge in trouble · Power to become a child of God · He is coming back Somewhere in these thirty there is one for the exact situation you are in tonight. When it comes, stop and take hold of it. 📖 Scripture from the King James Version 💬 Which promise do you need most right now? Write it in the comments — somebody else reading will need it too.
