Sami (Alison Sweeney) tries to convince Larry that Abe (James Reynolds) really is a good guy who deserves a chance, and she wishes Larry would hear him out. Larry is clearly affected, and Brandon (Matt Cedeño) notices. In a private moment, Brandon urges Larry not to fall for what Sami is saying. Later, Sami and Brandon argue until Brandon says that if she can’t trust him, maybe they shouldn’t be working undercover together. Bart (Steve Blackwood) tells Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) that everything seems to be going as planned at the hospital. Stefano is convinced the baby switch is best for everyone involved, since his beloved Lexie (Renée Jones) will finally have a baby, and no one will ever know that John (Drake Hogestyn) could be the father of the child Hope (Kristian Alfonso) is carrying. Life is good for Stefano, at least for now. Abe and Lexie panic when Marlo flatlines, but Rolf (William Utay), disguised as “Dr. Reynolds,” manages to revive her with the right medication. Before long the baby arrives, and Abe and Lexie are in tears of joy as they hold their baby boy for the first time. Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope exchange their wedding vows just before the baby is born, and Hope is overjoyed as she holds her son for the first time. Bo is happy too, even knowing the baby isn’t his. Later in the nursery, the nurses weigh, measure, and tag both babies as Rolf rushes in and peers through the glass. Did his plan go off without a hitch? I can barely stand the suspense.
