Testing a newly open section of shared path in Stirling, Western Australia

A 1.4km section of new shared path opened up alongside the Mitchell Freeway in the suburb of Stirling last weekend - so I went and had a look. It's 4 metres wide, appears to have plenty of lighting and drainage and the surface quality is excellent. I wish all the tunnels along this path going into the Perth CBD were as wide, colourful and well lit as the new tunnel on this section. The only issue that I had with this path is the positioning of the noise barriers. In some areas, the barrier is located between the freeway and the PSP - so it's a nice, quiet ride. However, in other sections the noise barrier is on the eastern side of the PSP, and you get the full blast of traffic noise. And yes, there are some sections north of here that are complete disaster areas - but let's just focus on this section and celebrate a job well done.
