Glattwang Ridge Traverse & Lake Loop (2,376 m / 7,795 ft) Starting from the scenic plateau of Fideriser Heuberge, this panoramic ridge hike leads over Arflinafurgga past the unique "Opferstein" (a historical millstone) and Hinder Egg to the summit of Glattwang. The tour rewards you with sweeping views over the Prättigau before descending to the serene Glattwangseeli and looping back to the Fideriser Heuberge. The Route Start: Begin at Berghaus Arflina / Fideriser Heuberge. Take the easy approach path (T1/T2) up toward the saddle at Arflinafurgga. Ridge Section (Arflinafurgga – Hinder Egg – Glattwang): Follow the scenic ridge line (T2/T3) toward Hinder Egg. Along the ridge path, you’ll pass the famous Opferstein—a massive stone structure historically believed to be a sacrificial altar, though actually an ancient millstone. Continue along the open ridge up to the summit cross of Glattwang (2,376 m / 7,795 ft). Descent to Glattwangseeli: Descend via the northern/eastern ridge path (T2/T3) down to the idyllic mountain lake, Glattwangseeli—a perfect spot for a break or a quick cool-down. Return Loop: From the lake, follow the well-marked mountain path (T2) traversing back across the high plateau toward Fideriser Heuberge. Refreshment Tip Enjoy regional Graubünden specialties or a cold drink at Berghaus Arflina or Heuberge right at the start/finish of the route!
