Stepping Out Of Your Own Way: Matt Pourier on Scaling Oak Interiors

In this episode of the Home Service Studs podcast, Andrew Hathaway speaks with Matt Pourier, founder and owner of Oak Interiors Drywall and Painting in Rapid City, South Dakota. Matt shares how he built a $1 million trade business over three years through raw hard work, and how investing in coaches (like Andy Elliott, Ben Jordan, and Justin Georgiopoulos) helped him implement CRMs, SOPs, and hiring systems to scale toward $4.5 million in a single year. He breaks down stepping out of his own way by handing his primary phone number over to a project manager, transitioning to a high-accountability subcontractor model, using local Facebook video marketing, and leading his company and family with a servant-first, faith-driven mindset.
