Big Sky: One & Only Gondola (Resort to Mountain)

Installed in 2024 to bring guests from the new One & Only Resort to the ski slopes of Big Sky, this Doppelmayr gondola is used solely for transport with no direct ski runs. It uses very standard D-Line equipment with a fixed direct drive at the Madison Base/Big Sky station (technically the top) a tensioned bottom return, and a unique angle station housing four bullwheels to deflect the rope. It also uses Omega V cabins with heated seats, D-5000 double position detachable grips, and standard D-Line line equipment. It’s a very nice gondola with an incredibly smooth ride, I’m interested to see how it ages with the mid station.
